Traxx Tyres’ Independent Tyre Dealer Conference gives UK customers practical tips to boost business

Traxx Tyre’s Independent Tyre Dealer Conference held in Wales in November has proved a hit with customers keen to learn more about latest product offerings, hear from industry experts and benefit from the great networking opportunities presented.

Held at the Cardiff City Stadium (just 30 minutes from Traxx’s new depot in Bridgend) – attendees enjoyed information sessions by Traxx suppliers including Vredestein, Lassa, Vitora, Atturo and Rema Tip Top. The sessions focused on current products, product development and new tyre technology.

The event’s keynote speech was given by award-winning ex-tyre shop owner and industry expert Andy Savva, known in the industry as “The Garage Inspector”, who made a thought provoking and inspiring presentation on how tyre retailers and workshops could make their businesses more efficient, productive and profitable.

The conference also included a Q & A panel discussion, hosted by Traxx Tyres General Manager, Mark Darvill, which included topics on improving performance in key business areas such as marketing, digital and customer service. The panel featured several Traxx’s business support suppliers and partners including Dave Jackson (Your Print Solutions), Matt Hulbert (Creative Jam), Jeremy Bailey (Astute Media), and Ben Smith (PECUVi) as well as Luke Bedford of the Independent Tyre Network.

Mark says that the conference attendees included both existing and new customers who had been reached through a very successful direct mail campaign. In addition to attending the talks, the dealers spent time visiting supplier and partner stalls in the exhibition area – where they were able to view products and pick up further tips to assist with the day-to-day running and development of their dealerships.

“Feedback on the event has been excellent, with most customers saying that it provided the type of information and helpful insights required by independent dealers in the current market situation. We are now already looking at the format for the event in 2020 and how we can take it to the road to reach more dealers, in more parts of the UK,” Mark says.
